what is the point of selling him for 20m now? Are we going to find another left winger / wingback his age for much less?
probably not no.
unfortunately the delboy daves will only see it from what we paid for him, not what it might cost to replace him.

There is nobody in our current first team squad I wouldn't sell apart from Rice who I think could be a solid player for years to come (providing he doesn't get injured).
Missed our chance to show ambition when we failed to beat minnows to get into the Europa league - twice. Watching Payet the other day scoring in the Europa league made me think he made 100% the right choice.

A month or two ago I put his sale price at £25m, but I'm already wondering if that was under-priced.

We went to fucking pieces while he was banned, he comes back, we slap Southampton and draw away to Chelsea.
He is one of our better players, albeit in a squad of shit that is better than Champions League semi finalists Liverpool's.

Also. I wouldn’t worry too much about having a lack of “Strength in Depth.” I can’t imagine too many teams coming in and buying most of our first team this summer. And certainly not at the prices the SPIVS would want.

Who's Masuaka?
Masuaku on the other hand has been our second best player this year after Arnautovic and is one of the few players who actually has a bit of pace and can take a man on. Hopefully this isn't true as I'd like to keep our better players. It's the dead wood we need to shift on.

I would keep Arnie. But even that’s if Moyes stays on. He seems to be the only person to get the best out him. As for the rest.

After this season. There isn’t a player in our squad who shouldn’t be up for sale.
With our owners' current reluctance to part with cash I can't believe anyone would have that opinion.
While I agree a large proportion of our players aren't good enough, the lack of strength in depth, or any depth whatsoever, has exacerbated our problems.
If we did sell we have no guarantee that we would get in someone better as a replacement, or indeed whether we would bring in a replacement at all! I'd be highly skeptical about selling anyone who has been anywhere near Moyes' first team, unless we see a direct (and half-decent) replacement brought in beforehand.
